HACKIN’ NEW YEAR 2021

Also in 2021, as “Hackin’ New Year” project, we sent devices to people who are indebted to us. This work, named “REMOOOTE”, is a cow-shaped device that switches the mute on and off of the online meeting tool.

2021年も”Hackin’ New Year”と題し、日頃お世話になっている方々へニューイヤーデバイスをお送りさせていただきました。「REMOOOTE（リモ〜〜ト）」と名付けられた本作品は、オンラインミーティングツールのミュートのオン・オフを切り替える赤べこ型デバイスです。

HOW TO USE

Connect REMOOOTE to your PC and press its head to switch mute on / off with a single tap. In addition, it supports 3 major apps (Zoom / Teams / Skype). Press and hold the head to switch apps.

REMOOOTEをPCにつなぎ、赤べこの頭を押すとワンタップでミュートのオン・オフを切り替えます。また、主要3アプリ（Zoom/Teams/Skype）に対応に対応。頭を長押しすることでアプリを切り替えます。

HOW IT WORKS

Since ATmega32U4 is used as a microcomputer chip, it is recognized as a HID interface when connected to a PC. In other words, since it is recognized as a normal mouse or keyboard, there is no need to install software, and it can be connected to almost any PC and operated immediately. 

ATmega32U4をマイコンチップとして使用しているため、PCに接続するとHIDインタフェースとして認識されます。つまり、通常のマウスやキーボードとして認識されるので、ソフトウェアのインストールなどが必要なく、ほとんど全てのPCで接続してすぐに動作させることが出来ます。

DESIGN

We finished it cutely with reference to the traditional shape of red beetle. Since the body is composed of curved surfaces with continuous curvature, you can enjoy its roundness. A stand is also included for stability when the head is pressed.

伝統的な赤べこの形状を参考に可愛らしく仕上げました。ボディは曲率連続な曲面で構成し、コロンとした丸みを楽しんでいただけます。頭を押したときの安定性のため、スタンドも付属しています。
