Cloud Charger

Cloud Charger is a device that can be used as an EV charging stand by simply attaching it to an ordinary outdoor outlet. This device is connected to the cloud and can be searched and booked from a dedicated application.This idea was submitted to a business competition sponsored by Idemitsu Kosan Co.,Ltd. and received the grand prize.

Cloud Chargerは普通の屋外用コンセントに後付けするだけで、EV充電スタンドになるデバイスです。このデバイスはクラウドに接続しており、専用のアプリケーションから検索・予約することができます。このアイディアは、出光興産株式会社が主催するビジネスコンペに応募し最優秀賞をいただきました。

The transition to EVs is progressing worldwide, and It has been announced that new gasoline car sales will be banned in Japan by the mid-2030s. Expansion of charging stations is essential for the spread of EVs, but the current charging stations are as expensive as 800,000 to 3 million yen. Also, in Japan, almost all stands cannot be booked online.

世界的にEVへの移行が進みつつあり、日本でも2030年代半ばまでにガソリン車の新車販売が禁止されることが発表されました。EVが普及するためには充電スタンドの拡充が必須ですが、現状の充電スタンドは80-300万円という高額なのが現状です。また、日本ではオンラインで予約可能なスタンドが殆ど普及していません。

Cloud Charger can increase the number of charging stations at an overwhelmingly low cost by using existing outlets, and you can easily search, book, and pay from the app.

Cloud Chargerなら既存のコンセントを利用することで圧倒的に安価に充電スタンドを増やすことができ、さらにアプリから簡単に検索、予約、支払いを行うことができます。

In the competition, we practiced a process like lean startup and brushed up ideas in a short period of time while interviewing EV users and experts. We also prototyped the hardware and applications.

コンペの中では、リーンなプロセスを実践し、EVユーザーや専門家にインタビューを行いながら短期間でアイディアのブラッシュアップを行いました。また、ハードウェアとアプリケーションのプロトタイプも作成しました。
